Q: I have a question or statement or both. What is meant by the words awakening mind - do you actually believe we are asleep in a dream? Sometimes awakening means to be aware of reality from illusion. As though watching a magic show or illusionist – what they do may look very real but we are awakened to the truth that it is only a trick or illusion. I believe we are awakening from the illusion that we allowed our self to be tricked by the greatest illusionist (deceiver) there is - Satan! We bought into Satan's illusion that there is something greater than the spirit of love, which is God, by believing there is something else that exists that was not created by God. Such is the self or ego and so we pursue the illusion of the self ego, forgetting what is truth and what is illusion. But as we were given the choice to believe the illusion, we also have the choice to awaken or be aware in remembrance that what we see is not reality but only illusion.

I believe the only truth is that separate we are part of God, but together all humanity, all that lives and was created by Him is God, as all was created by Him. I am not sure if creation was created by God as in the illusion state that we see now, or separate from the illusion in His awakened state of mind. Maybe it doesn't matter as long as we see the truth through illusion. Just had it on my mind and thought I'd join in. Please tell me if and where I am incorrect.

A: Hello Beloved One

The time-space cosmos can seem very much like a dream, for it was the projection of the belief in separation. God, Being Perfect Love, creates forever Perfect Love, and such is Eternal Creation. Christ
is a Perfect Creation in the Mind of God and Christ creates forever Perfectly in Love as God creates. In this sense "all that exists is Christ or from Christ."

Truth and error, Reality and illusion, Eternity and time are not "both" or "equally" true. Truth is true and only Truth is true. Because God/Christ/Creation is true, error is false or nonexistent.

The deceived or sleeping mind "seems" to have forgotten God, Christ, and Creation. It dreams of many, many, many separate parts separated by time and space, for it has forgotten the wholeness of the forgiven world that the Holy Spirit offers as well as the Eternal Heaven Which is Mind Awake in God.

The Holy Spirit's Perspective of forgiveness is what was pointed to in writing: "As though watching a magic show or illusionist - what they do may look very real but we are awakened to the truth that it is
only a trick or illusion." The Holy Spirit sees the error of separation but looks past it to the Atonement or Correction. The Holy Spirit is the present reminder of what is beyond error entirely, for in the Holy Spirit is the Memory of God and Christ.

Before the deceived mind can awaken to Eternal Reality it must accept the gentle dream of nonjudgment that the Holy Spirit offers. In this forgiving dream the cosmos is seen as one whole tapestry. Distinctions and categories and increments and levels and degrees and parts have vanished entirely, for only wholeness "remains."
This perception of wholeness is itself an illusion and will not last, yet this illusion is the last illusion for it is the gateway to the Eternal.

Since God is real, the cosmos is not.
Since Christ is real, satan is not.
Since Eternity is real, time is not.

"Perfect Love casts out fear" is a way of saying: "Since Love is real fear is not."

Love and fear therefore cannot "co-exist."

When fear is "experienced" Love has seemingly been blocked from awareness. Yet only Love exists and Love is ever present, so the "experience of fear" is but an illusion to be released.

When you turn a light on in a dark room the light does not battle the darkness - it is simply light. Similarly, the Light of Love shines and there can be no darkness in Light. Bring the error of darkness to the Holy Spirit's Light and see that only Light "remains." For there is only Love to behold, Beloved Child of God.

Awakening mind is simply a phrase used to represent the uncovering, emptying, or release of error. Release is the Holy Spirit's Purpose for a deceived mind that believes in the "reality" of the time-space
world. It is as you wrote: "...the choice to awaken or be aware in remembrance that what we see is not reality but only illusion." Forgiveness sees the false as false. Forgiveness is a miracle.

From A Course In Miracles: "A miracle is a correction. It does not create, nor really change at all. It merely looks on devastation, and reminds the mind that what it sees is false. It undoes error, but does not attempt to go beyond perception, nor exceed the function of forgiveness. Thus it stays within time's limits. Yet it paves the way for the return of timelessness and love's awakening, for fear must slip away under the gentle remedy it brings."
