Going Deeper - Audio Series Going Deeper - Audio Series Going Deeper part 1- (MP3 5:02min 4.8MB) - Read the Transcript - Reading from Lesson 79 in the Workbook. If you could recognize that your only problem is separation, no matter what form it takes, you could accept the answer because you would see its relevance. Perceiving the underlying constancy in all the problems that seem to confront you, you would understand that you have the means to solve them all. And you would use the means, because you recognize the problem. Going Deeper part 2 - (MP3 30:06min 28.9MB) - Read the Transcript - Everyone in this world seems to have his own special problems. Yet they are all the same, and must be recognized as one if the one solution that solves them all is to be accepted. Who can see that a problem has been solved if he thinks the problem is something else? Even if he is given the answer, he cannot see its relevance. Going Deeper part 3 - (MP3 31:35min 30.3MB) - Read the Transcript - To start to see that these are projections, these are ideas in my own mind that I have projected begins to give that sense that there is an I that is distinct, and that is whole and is capable of observing those thoughts without believing in them. Going Deeper part 4 - (MP3 15:09min 14.6MB) - Read the Transcript - The escape from all concepts and constructs is to literally sink beneath them in the mind, to literally not order and configure the thought forms but to merely recognize them. In a sense that’s stepping back to the biggest picture. The biggest picture you could possibly imagine would be a construct of the cosmos seen as an entire fabric without any ordering. Going Deeper part 5 - (MP3 12:29min 12MB) - Read the Transcript - With comparison you have to have a subject/object split. To even compare thought forms, there is an ordering involved and with that comparison, with that ordering, the construct then asks the questions. Those aren’t real questions in the ultimate sense. Those are statements. Going Deeper part 6 - (MP3 18:51min 18.1MB) - Read the Transcript - Stepping back further and further in the mind leads one into metaphysics, leads one into beyond the physical. It leads one into the study of the mind and how the mind works and what perception is as well as emotions and thoughts, beliefs, and assumptions. And even that is just something that has to be stepped back from. Ultimately there comes this pull - this awareness to leap from that subject/object split. Going Deeper part 7 - (MP3 3:28min 3.3MB) - Read the Transcript - If you are willing to recognise your problems, you will recognise that you have no problems. Your one central problem has been answered and you have no other therefore you must be at peace. Salvation thus depends on recognising this one problem and understanding that it has been solved. One problem, one solution. Salvation is accomplished. Freedom from conflict has been given you. Accept that fact and you are ready to take your rightful place in God’s plan for salvation. Going Deeper part 8 - (MP3 22:52min 22MB) - Read the Transcript - The construct, the self concept, is past tense. To see it as it really is is to see it as past, as over, as done. If you are willing to recognize your problems you will recognize that you have no problems! If I don’t feel at peace then it’s a mistaken identity of my self, a mistaken perception. I’ve identified with the construct. That’s the problem and so I change my mind. Going Deeper part 9 - (MP3 16:40min 16MB) - Read the Transcript - Forgiveness is a meaning in the mind that is given to everything in form. Obviously it still is a construct in the sense that it is perceptual, but it’s the one helpful construct. It’s the all inclusive construct where there’s no ordering among the thought forms. Going Deeper part 10 - (MP3 17:16min 16.6MB) - Read the Transcript - Every time I’m upset, I’ve projected. Anger is nothing more than an attempt to make someone else feel guilty. And every time I’m angry or upset with someone or something it’s an attempt to project the responsibility onto someone else, it’s an attempt to play the victim of external happenings again. And in a sense if seen right and correctly it’s a great opportunity to be grateful for the opportunity to see what’s going on. Going Deeper part 11 - (MP3 12:46min 12.3MB) - Read the Transcript - Healing comes from pulling back and disidentifying, from being able to watch attack thoughts without horror. Instead of being horrible, terrifying attack thoughts, they’re just unreal thoughts! And therefore the horror is gone. From the right mind these thoughts are not horrifying because it’s known they’re unreal. Going Deeper part 12 - (MP3 12:49min 12.3MB) - Read the Transcript - Inward is where the light can be found; the light in the mind that the false beliefs and the concepts and the constructs have covered over. Inward is where happiness is, is where love is. It’s not looking outward to the projections, to the idols to complete me. Going Deeper part 13 - (MP3 17:31min 16.8MB) - Read the Transcript - The body’s eyes were made to call forth witnesses of separation. Basically it’s the separating out and the categorising activities of the mind where the judgement takes place. Basically the body’s senses just bring forth witnesses to fill in the categories and the splits and the judgements that have already been made in the mind. The deceived mind has a category of what it calls sickness and it will look for witnesses to that category. Going Deeper part 14 - (MP3 16:42min 16MB) - Read the Transcript - The world was made as a limit on communication; the world was made to defend against communication. That is because the Holy Spirit is our communication link with the Father and the world was made to cover over that. So the Holy Spirit has to work with the lower mind and the beliefs and ask the mind to let go of its beliefs in the world. It appears gradually that powers of the mind are returned to it; telepathy and clairvoyance and intuitions and so on seem to be more prevalent to the mind when actually the mind is just returning to its natural condition. These are not super powers that rare individuals can develop; these are very natural communication devices. Going Deeper part 15 - (MP3 14:06min 13.5MB) - Read the Transcript - God is Spirit. God does not Know about the physical projected world. God only Knows His Creations, or His Creation, which is the Son, and He knows him as perfect. This is a pure, abstract, infinite relationship that has nothing to do with form in any way. So when we get down to the ego using the body for pleasure, the pursuit of pleasure and the avoidance of pain, basically the mind is unaware that they’re the same. By pursuing pleasure, one is also pursuing pain; the pleasure is a guise. Going Deeper part 16 - (MP3 15:35min 15MB) - Read the Transcript - By following the joy the mind allows preferences and desires to fade away as it gets focused on its one function. Without that focus level confusion can creep in and we’re back to changing behaviors without changing the mind, without letting go of the false beliefs. Going Deeper part 17 - (MP3 17:33min 16.9MB) - Read the Transcript - When the mind is healed (listens to the Holy Spirit’s voice, operates in the right mind and consistently chooses the miracle) then the body is invulnerable. The Course tells us, as long as the mind is listening to the Holy Spirit and following the Voice for God, the body will be used for as long as it is needed and then it is gently laid aside. It all starts with the perception. This is a course in correcting perception, in relinquishing judgement. Going Deeper part 18 - (MP3 16:28min 15.8MB) - Read the Transcript - The deceived mind has a projected God. It can be a God of the Old Testament for example: anthropomorphic, given human qualities, a God that’s being angry at times, punitive at times, and loving at other times. This is a projected God, a God of the future. It’s like the mind has a hologram of time and space around it, to protect it from love, and it has to give up the investment and the belief in the hologram, before it can spring into awareness. Going Deeper part 19 - (MP3 13:47min 13.2MB) - Read the Transcript - When one is feeling fear or any of its derivatives this is death, this is an indicator that the mind has chosen death. And when one is very peaceful, very content, in a state of joy and is feeling very connected, this is a state of love and the mind has chosen the miracle. It’s in its right mind and therefore it has chosen life. A miracle is in a sense, a reflection of life, because in the ultimate sense, when we speak of Life we are speaking of the Kingdom of Heaven which is purely abstract, infinite, eternal. So this brings it down to a decision and it’s a decision that you can tell that you’re making one way or the other based on how you feel. Going Deeper part 20 - (MP3 17:33min 16.9MB) - Read the Transcript - Without the idea of death there is no world. All dreams will end with this one. This is salvations final goal; the end of all illusions. “And what is the end of death? Nothing but this; the realization that the Son of God is guiltless now and forever. Nothing but this. But do not let yourself forget it is not less than this." Going Deeper part 21 - (MP3 15:07min 14.5MB) - Read the Transcript - To have a new meaning for the world would be to question all of the purposes and meanings and goals that one has had for the world; to ask the Holy Spirit to help sort out in the mind the true from the false and then to lay aside the false. And this is where the Resurrection comes in, a final decision, a final letting go of all other strivings and purposes and desires and just having a desire only for the Father. Going Deeper part 22 - (MP3 15:23min 14.8MB) - Read the Transcript - It takes quite a lot of training just to be able to start to watch ones emotions and thoughts. To do that is to go back deep into the mind; getting back to the metaphysical level. In a sense the world was made as a distraction or distractive device to keep the attention away from the mind. Therefore there’s a strong attraction to and emphasis on form, an emphasis on differences. Once the thoughts and the beliefs have been looked at and questioned, there starts to be a discernment in the mind between the true and the false and the real and the unreal. And there’s a pulling back of investment in or a watching of those thoughts dispassionately, then peace becomes more stable. Going Deeper part 23 - (MP3 16:39min 16MB) - Read the Transcript - If the mind believes in separation, the mind believes in a time/space universe, and the mind believes it is a body or will stay within a body. The mind believes that it has a country, that it has a family, a community, it’s made up this construct, it’s projected a construct, and it believes that it is the construct, it is the concept. Then, the Holy Spirit has to work with that mind to help it see that these constructs, these concepts, are nothing more than concepts. They don’t have any reality. And so, the Holy Spirit works with the mind where it believes it’s at. Going Deeper part 24 - (MP3 15:02min 14.4MB) - Read the Transcript - Those who come to this world, those who seek for idols, those who seek for answers in this world are literally seeking for happiness and salvation where it cannot be found. And this is painful. So literally, the giving up judgment, the giving up of the ordering of thoughts and so on, is the giving up of pain. Going Deeper part 25 - (MP3 15:23min 14.8MB) - Read the Transcript - Each day, and every minute in each day, and every instant in that each minute holds, you but relive the single instant when the time of terror took the place of love. And so you die each day to live again, until you cross the gap between the past and present, which is not a gap at all. Such is each life; a seeming interval from birth to death and on to life again, a repetition of an instant gone by long ago that cannot be relived. And all of time is but the mad belief that what is over is still here and now. Forgive the past and let it go, for it is gone. Going Deeper part 26 - (MP3 11:35min 11.1MB) - Read the Transcript - The mind is continually prompted by the ego to keep changing the forms, and to keep looking for salvation, peace and happiness in some form, some idol. Whereas with the Course, and with the Holy Spirit and new purpose given, there is an emphasis that form is meaningless and that it’s only by holding to the Holy Spirit’s purpose, that one intention that the Holy Spirit offers, that happiness and peace and salvation are ever accepted and that the acceptance of this purpose can only take place right now.
